Valentine's Day 2015 in San Gregorio Armeno and the Decumani of Naples

Naples is a city rich in passion, for its folk art, traditional cuisine, crafts, and entertainment. Such love could only be celebrated on Valentine 's Day.

In fact, on February 14, 2015 , among the numerous events of the “ Night of Lovers 2015 ”, an extraordinary event will also appear in the historic heart of the city.

The program, curated by the Department of Culture and Tourism, will begin on February 11th and continue until February 25th 2015 and will focus on three main themes: nativity scene art, taste, and ancient popular music.

Specifically, on the day dedicated to lovers, the historic nativity scene shops on Via San Gregorio Armeno will exceptionally open to residents and tourists, who will have the opportunity to admire beautiful artisanal masterpieces, decorations, and traditional and Valentine-themed organza flowers.

The culinary event, meanwhile, will focus on the traditional delights of Neapolitan cuisine. Exceptional dishes will be sampled throughout a fascinating journey through the many trattorias, restaurants, pizzerias, and pastry shops of Naples' Decumani district, which will also offer a delightful surprise for couples in love.

And last but not least, there will be unmissable music events, with the famous "posteggia napoletana" (Neapolitan parking) taking place at all the restaurants, trattorias, and pizzerias affiliated with the Associazione Corpo di Napoli – ONLUS.

Shops open to San Gregorio Armeno
All the shops will exhibit handicraft products dedicated to love and lovers. The organza flowers shops will exhibit typical decorations with particular reference to the party of lovers.

The paths of taste
Tastings, in search of the ancient flavors of traditional cuisine with surprise for lovers, in all the most renowned trattorias / restaurants, pizzerias and confectioneries of the Decumani of Naples.

Popular traditional music
The traditional Neapolitan parking in all the restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias belonging to the Association Corpo di Napoli - ONLUS.
