“Noos – The Exploration of Science” is the innovative format proposed by Alberto Angela, whose goal is the promotion of scientific knowledge, emulating his father's approach. Angela's expository method follows the parent's method Piero Angela, founded on credibility, transparency and interaction with viewers.
The official opening of the program took place on 29 June 2023, while the second chapter of Noos has made its entrance on the stage of prime time of Rai 1 on 6 July 2023. The Origin of the Name Noos
The title of the program, "Noos", is much more than just a name. “Noos” is an ancient Greek term, “nous”, meaning “intellect” or “knowledge”, symbolizing the acquisition and discovery of new ideas and information. The name comes from the 1998 work by Piero Angela, “Journey to the cosmos”, in which you traveled across the universe aboard a spacecraft called “Noos”.
