Experiments, science and games at the 2016 European Researchers' Night in Naples and Campania!
IThe 30 September 2016 returns the European Researchers' Night organized by Frascati Scienza, which this year will also involve the city of Napoli.
This exceptional event will be one long night of scientific appointments spectacular that will see the intervention of many researchers and a large turnout of the public, including high school students on internships at companies, institutions, universities and non-profit organizations, which alternate between school and work.
This important initiative promoted by the European Commission aims to promote the science as a development tool industrialized countries and as a means of improving the quality of life of all citizens.
In Campania there will be three special and interesting events. In Naples they will take place Toledo by Night: Fisici Underground, at the Toledo Station of the subway line 1, and a meeting at the Capodimote Observatory. In Caserta, the scientific aperitif Ghosts at Court of Reggia.

Toledo by Night: Fisici Underground
Participants will make an exhibition-popular itinerary with the researchers with the explanation of the underground telescope for the detection of cosmic rays installed by the INFN and "tabletop" physics experiments, aimed at understanding the main physics phenomena. The thematic areas will be divided into exploration of the cosmos with the illustration of the Virgo experiment, Computing and Data Analysis on the history of computation and a modern data analysis workstation and Detectors to study the cosmos.

Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte

With the UAN - Neapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union
Possibility to learn about the research activities of the Observatory with laboratories, meetings with astronomers and researchers and visits to the Museum of Astronomical Instruments. There will be observations of the stars, with activities for children and adults.
To participate, it is necessary to fill in a form for each visitor, subject to availability. Admission is free and we accept requests that will arrive until 10.00 am on September 30th.

Ghosts at Court
Through spectroscopy, that is the analysis of light, we will discover the physical world. Each type of spectrum will be analyzed and activities and games will also be organized for children to exemplify the scientific notions provided by the experts.
