The new edition of the Curt Film Festival will take place at the Institut Français de Naples in November and the program will be full of retrospectives and special guests
After a couple of years of failure to organize, the Short Film Festival returns to Naples, O Curt Film Fest. The venue for the event will be the Institut Français de Naples and the review will take place from 19 to 22 November 2014.
The initiative is from the project "Naples Young City: young people build the future of the City ", created within the Local Youth Plans - Metropolitan Cities, promoted and supported by the Department of Youth - Presidency of the Council of Ministers and by Anci - National Association of Italian Municipalities and it is one of the most important festivals of its kind in the international arena. Furthermore, the Festival is part of the project June Youth.
Thirteen editions have made it successful and this year the organization is entrusted to the Tycho cultural association in collaboration with the Santa Sofia Mediateca.
O Curt Film Fest the 27 June was officially presented at the Basilica San Domenico Maggiore and, on the same day, the competition for the presentation of the various short films was also opened, announcement that the 15 September 2014 will end.
There will be four competitive sections: the main one is precisely 'O Curt, which will be attended by short audiovisuals by national and international authors, and there will be the section 'O Curt Naples, dedicated to authors born or residing in the province of Naples, Animated Courts, dedicated to animation works, and Leggerocorto, aimed at short films made with agile equipment and within everyone's reach such as smartphones, tablets or GoPro. Finally, an area will also be dedicated to schools with the section Educational, with a special jury, and one dedicated to photography with CliCiak, an exhibition of scene photos of Italian cinema conceived by Centro Cinema Città di Cesena.
In September the best works will be selected and then screened from the 19 22 November in the cinema hall of the Institut français in Naples.
Meanwhile, until November the program of the whole event will be gradually devised, which will be enriched with retrospective, initiatives and exceptional guests.
