At the Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory there will be Notturno d'Estate, an evening with free observations of the stars and music!
Il 21 June 2017 will be held atAstronomical Observatory of Capodimonte Summer night. On the occasion of the summer solstice, the event provides free observations of the stars. The evening will also be accompanied by a concert. Marco Padovani, astronomer of the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory in Florence and well-known pianist, will perform.
The director of the Capodimonte Observatory, Massimo della Valle, will also guide the visitors. The observation of the summer sky will be organized by the Neapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union. Admission is free and without reservation, subject to availability.
The Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory is part of theNational Institute of AstroPhysics - INAF. Operational since 1819, it now contributes to Italian astronomical and astrophysical research and promotes the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
