A magnificent day between astronomy and progressive rock at the Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory!
A day in which astronomy and music come together to create a suggestive and magical atmosphere that will make the public travel to exciting universes. This is Alla Corte di Urania, an event that will take place on11 June 2015 at the Capodimonte Observatory whose title refers to a well-known symbolic song of progressive rock, In the Court of the Crimson King of the King Crimson.
And progressive rock will be one of the protagonists of the event that will not only immerse us in the notes of this original musical genre, but will transport us among the stars and constellations to discover interesting information and curiosities about the world of astronomy.
It is not by chance that this genre has been chosen, certainly the most evocative in the musical field and that is well associated with the astronomical material, in itself evocative and marvelous.
The program will start from the afternoon, with visits to the structures of the Observatory e film projections together with the researchers of the structure and will continue until evening with live concerts and passages of images that will demonstrate the complementarity of progressive rock and astronomy.
Naturally, observations will not be left to the telescope of the dome, to admire the stars even more "closely".

- 17:30 - 20:00: Visit to the Planetarium * (groups of 50 people. Hours: 17:30, 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30)
- 17:30 - 19:00: Access to the Meridian Circle * (groups of 20 people. Hours: 17:30, 17:45, 18:00, 18:15, 18:30)
- 17:30 - 19:30: Guided tour of the Museum * (groups of 25 people. Hours: 17:30, 18:30)
- 18:00 - 19:15: Screenings in the auditorium (films of about 15 minutes in rotation)
- 19:30 - 20:00: Scientific seminar: Listening to the stars - dr. Silvio Leccia
- 20:10 - 21:00: Concert part one: astronomical images commented by the Camera Chiara
- 21:10 - 22:50: Concert part two: to get lost in the transparent nights and to scrutinize the horizon of events Fabio Zuffanti and Z Band special guest Jenny Sorrenti
- 23:00 - 24:00: Observations in the square and in the dome * (in the dome groups of 10 people. Hours: 23:00, 23:15, 23:30, 23:45)
