The Capodimonte astronomical observatory dedicates an evening to Gagarin, the first man to complete the entire orbit around the earth
Thursday 12 April Capodimonte astronomical observatory, in Naples, has decided to organize a special evening, dedicated to Jurij Gagarin, the Russian cosmonaut who on 12 April 1961 for the first time in history, aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft, the first revolution of the Earth's orbit. The evening was organized in collaboration with the Neapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union.
The evening will open at 19.30 pm and visitors to the Observatory will be invited to listen to the lesson at the planetarium "Jurij Gagarin" and subsequently toobservation to the telescopes. It will thus be possible to deepen the knowledge of this milestone in the field of astronautics and at the same time explore the night sky above our city.
The Gagarin evening at the Observatory represents aan unmissable opportunity for all astronomy enthusiasts to celebrate this important anniversary, probably the most significant in the history of astronautics.
