Reopened to the circulation of the Piazza Poderico cars in Naples, after a closure of 16 years.

After 16 years of closure, re-opens to the circulation of the Piazza Poderico vehicles in Naples and the inauguration was held on the morning of 12 May 2017 in the presence of the authorities.

It is a very important hub in the city because it is located between via Arenaccia and corso Novara e connects the areas of the Central Station in Piazza Garibaldi, the Vasto area and Piazza Carlo III. The resolution was approved by the council of the fourth municipality and gives way to a change that has been waiting for a long time.

Unfortunately, the Piazza has been closed for many years due to the cost of traffic lights and to overcome this discomfort it was decided to reduce the width of the road from 12 to 6 meters, so cars can not go at high speed. At the moment the narrowing has been done with some bollards and each lane will be about 3 meters wide.
The experimental project will facilitate circulation in the area, especially between via Acquaviva and via Arenaccia.

At the inauguration there were also pupils of the Imbriani Sant'Alfonso dei Liguori middle school, municipal councilors and representatives of civic committees, as well as the mayor Luigi De Magistris and the President of the fourth municipality Giampiero Perrella.
