In the Pompeii archaeological park there will be the traveling shows of Il Teatro Mobile, to be listened to with headphones in a journey into the past.
The project Memory and Imagery of Rome, after the success of the Roman Summer 2016, arrives at Pompei where, among its evocative archaeological excavations, the Mobile Theater, a scenic experiment that offers viewers a new way to discover and learn about ancient Pompeii, reliving the stories of his past.
Il Mobile Theater will bring the staging of the only Roman tragedy reached in full and attributed to Seneca, among the archaeological remains of Pompeii, Octavia, and the celebration event of the Bimillenario di Ovidio.
The particularity of these representations consists in the modality of fruition of the works. The public will, in fact, be equipped with headphones with which he will listen to the textual, sound and musical scores of the event. The spectators will cross, during the shows, the various stages of the path of the story, where spectacular visions and live actions will take place, as if immersed in a journey through time in ancient Pompeii.

Octavia - A Roman tragedy
Octavia è the only Latin tragedy of Roman argument, and not Greek, to be received in full and attributed to Seneca, even if considered to date spurious. The work, translated and adapted by Pina Catanzariti, will be interpreted by Galatea Ranzi, in the role of the protagonist, and by Nicola D'Eramo, Pietro Faiella, Liliana Massari, Galliano Mariani, Paolo Musio, with the extraordinary participation of Ludovica Modugno.
The story tells of the sad and dramatic story of Octavia, the bride that Nero left for Poppea, condemning it to exile and to death.
Viewers will hear the lyrics, sounds and music of the drama equipped with an audiocuff and they will travel an itinerary through the ruins of Pompeii which will start from the Basilica and will end at the Teatro Grande, crossing the Forum, the Via dell'Abbondanza, the Terme Stabiane and the small theater. In the various stages of this evocative "journey through time" the public will come face to face with the characters of the tragedy: Octavia, "Chorus", Seneca and Nero, the voice of the ghost of Agrippina and Poppea.

Billemillenario di Ovidio
The Mobile Theater has also organized side events to give life and voice to the memory of ancient Rome in the Pompeii Archaeological Park. Friday 10 November 2017 at 15 in fact, it will be celebrated Bimillenario di Ovidio that will cross the various stages of the life of the famous Roman poet, the places of birth, life and death, with different readings of songs, still to be listened to in headphones, taken from The art of Amare di Ovidio, performed by Pietro Faiella and Liliana Massari.
