Renovation work has begun at the Royal Palace of Caserta for the Royal Crib, a splendid 700th century Neapolitan artistic crib that was commissioned by the Bourbons!

The courteous nativity scene of Palace of Caserta is a splendid one Neapolitan artistic nativity scene of the '700 and the only one to have been commissioned by the Bourbon Royals. It is a precious crib: the figurines that compose it are all in terracotta, with attention to the smallest details and covered with a fine San Leucio fabric.

In the last few days the Royal Palace of Caserta has started a important enhancement intervention of the real Nativity scene and of renovation of the entire exhibition hall who guards it, precisely to enhance the beautiful work.

Renovation work

The exhibition hall of Royal apartments of the Royal Palace of Caserta has been subjected to renovation and maintenance works in recent days, interventions that have been possible thanks also to the forced closure for Covid-19.

The whole room has been repainted and the lighting system has been renewed, in fact, the halogen lamps have been replaced with modern energy-saving warm light LEDs, capable of emphasizing all the characteristics of the Royal Nativity Scene and pay more attention to it.

News also for the communication system which has been completely renovated with innovative explanatory panels who will tell guests the story of the Royal Nativity Scene and will illustrate all the materials used for the statuettes between silk, jewels, ivory, silver and gold.
