Two events with classical music revisited by contemporary musicians, in two concerts for Christmas and New Year's Eve at the Mercadante theater in Naples
During the Christmas holidays they will be held at the Teatro Mercadante two musical events for the XV edition of Angeli Musicanti festival directed by Paolo Uva. The review Classica_Contemporanea will offer the Neapolitan public the opportunity to discover "another feeling" in "another Naples", where different musical genres and styles will blend.
The two concerts will be held on 20 December 2013, with the Concert for another Christmas, and the 1 January 2014, with the Concert for another New Year. During the two evenings there will be tributes to the great composers of classical music, such as Verdi, Rossini, Wahner, Bach, Scarlatti and Satie, whose famous works will be revisited by talented contemporary artists of the international music scene, such as Vito Ranucci, Peter Schwalm, Ramin Baharami, under the “sign” of a visual artist like Massimo D'Orta. In a real artistic performance that aims to make classical music contemporary, unhinging the rigid boundaries in which it is sometimes relegated.
