On stage a great classic of Shakespearean theater: King Lear, on the occasion of the 400 years since the poet's death.

From 20 April at 1 May arrive at Stable theater one of the most famous tragedies of Shakespeare: "Lear. History". On the occasion of the four-hundredth anniversary of the death of the English poet, the director Dipasquale stages his adaptation of the work.

That of King Lear, played by the great Neapolitan actor Mario Rigillo, is a journey in the descent towards madness. Madness of which the cause is the king himself who, staging his abdication almost as a joke, will lose all his affections besides his kingdom.

And just this simple event, which takes place in the first scene, which will then lead to the final tragedy because, as the director explains, “The abdication staged as ordeal of the love of the daughters, it is the fact, in itself simple, that inaugurates the catastrophe of the Sacred King.

He performs the most trivial of the actions that determine the infection of his world: he opens the door to evil. "But Lear is a complex character that belongs to both good and evil and that with all its contradictions will fascinate the viewer and bring him to reflect.
