On the occasion of Remembrance Day 2018, the Royal Palace of Caserta organizes an extraordinary opening with a visit to the attics.
There are many events in Naples and Campania organized on the occasion of the Memorial Day 2018, and among the protagonists of the commemoration there is also the Palace of Caserta. Here, Saturday 27st January, there will in fact be aextraordinary opening with a visit to the attics.
The visit is included in the ticket entrance, and will lead the participants on an air route to discover the lodgings of the military troops. These environments were frequented from the beginning of the 900s, when they hosted the recruits of the Guardia di Finanza Academy. During the Second World War the attics welcomed first the German soldiers and then the Allied Forces.
Of this passage they are still visible interesting testimonies. Those who lived there have left inscriptions, drawings, paintings and objects of daily use of the time. The itinerary is made in collaboration with the Cortese high school of Maddaloni, whose students become “Ambassadors of the Royal Palace” as part of the school-work alternation project.
