The Royal Palace of Caserta will host "Volere Volare. A hot air balloon in the presence of the King! "With balloon flights and historical re-enactments!

The Park of the Palace of Caserta it will be the evocative setting of Want to Fly. A hot air balloon in the presence of the King!, a day in which a balloon will be installed for the first time in those spaces.

The event, organized by the IlBelPaese association in collaboration with the Royal Palace of Caserta, the Municipality of Fragneto Monforte (Benevento) and the AS Club Aerostatico Wind & Fire, will be held on 24 September 2017, in conjunction with the theme "Nature and Culture" promoted by the European Heritage Days.

Balloon flights, historical re-enactments and readings

In park of the Reggia vanvitelliana will therefore be installed for the first time a hot air balloon, which will perform a series of restricted flights.

The atmosphere will be really impressive, since there will also be one historical re-enactment with clothes from the eighteenth century, curated by the Cultural Association of Vintage Fantasies, which will repropose the first flight demonstration carried out in the Kingdom of Naples the 13 September 1789, created by the scientist Vincenzo Lunardi under the eyes of re Ferdinand IV of Bourbon and Queen Maria Carolina.

They will also be there readings of celebratory compositions of that moment, taken from the volumes of the royal collections on aerostatic and aeronautics, which will be exhibited in the Palatina Library of historic apartments.
