Anelante is the new show of Rezza and Mastrella that will be staged at the Bellini Theater in Naples.
Antonio Rezza returns to stage the stage of the Teatro Bellini di Napoli and he will do it with a new surreal, thoughtful and ironic spectacle. It is about longingly, which will go on stage 29 from November to December 4 2016, with the collaboration and direction of Flavia Mastrella, as for every show of the artistic duo.
Rezza has always used us to watch paradoxical shows and not very linear, which always become deep metaphors of the real and this time it will not disappoint us either.
With Anelante the piece remains brilliant, original and innovative, but to change, compared to previous works, is theunreleased chorality: in addition to Rezza, in fact, to act there will be other 4 artists, interrupting Rezza's typical loneliness on stage.
Anelante, which according to the authors is nothing more than "a present participle that symbolizes combat in its becoming, a desire without possession, a spasm of the eyes“, Will accompany us on a journey in the constant struggle of man against modern society which continually tends to reduce it to avirtual entity. A fight that will be represented both by the inevitable vitality and dynamism of the characters on stage, through the original and engaging scenic language of the two authors, and by the scenography characterized by spaces without volume.
The characters are united by one profound lack of communication and we will meet, among others, a mathematician who writes aloud and a reader who does not understand what he reads but only what he says (and who speaks as he reads).
A show to be fully experienced in which, for the umpteenth time, we will try to understand something more of the society in which we live.
Other meetings with Rezza / Mastrella
On November 30th at Laterzagorà, the interactive square of Bellini, Rossella Bonito Oliva meets Antonio Rezza and Flavia Mastrella in the context of “Il teatro si storia” in which actors and directors of the shows meet the public. Admission is from 17.30 pm and is free.
Furthermore, from 4 to 11 December in via Sedile di Porto, 55 (Via Mezzocannone) the two authors will present the documentary "Milan, Via Padova“, A journey on bus 56 that crosses the Milan street that gives the job its title. A multi-ethnic area in which the two conducted ajournalistic investigation on immigration and racism. It will be screened at 20.30 pm on December 4th, at 21.00 pm from December 5th to 7th, and at 11.00 am - 18 pm - 30 pm from December 20.30th to 8th. The price is 11 euros.
