Rita Pavone returns to perform live after 9 years of absence on stage and does so with a new tour that includes a stop at the Teatro Augusteo in Naples

It's been a while since she's headlined a concert of her own, but now Rita Pavone has decided to return with a new tour. After a nine-year absence from the concert circuit, the Turin-born singer will be back, and one of the dates will include a live performance at the Teatro Augusteo in Naples.

On May 13, 2014 , Rita Pavone will perform as part of the “ Rita is back – Live 2014 ” tour, also presenting her latest album, Masters, released on October 8, 23 years after her last studio album. The album was preceded by the single “I wnat you with me ,” a reinterpretation of an Elvis Presley song.

The singer anticipated her return to the scene by appearing on a television show . From March to April, she served as a judge on the talent show La Pista, hosted by Flavio Insinna and aired in prime time on RaiUno.

It's certainly a significant return to the stage for Pavone, so much so that she declared: "I've already put myself to the test on the stage of Renato Zero and Gianni Morandi, so now I want to return to my audience too. I want to conclude by saying that I've treated myself to a great album. I'm privileged and have a job I never imagined I'd do. Imagine, I was thanking the Lord for being a backing singer! I want to take this album on tour precisely because of its final three lines: ' What a great job I have, I wouldn't want to do anything else ... and for that I thank God!'"
