Collect other chocolate eggs produced in Campania, not just Kinder

As you recall, just a few weeks ago, The Ferrero, the Italian company that has been producing confectionery products for 76 years, was forced to pick up some chocolate eggs from the market which had been produced at Easter due to Salmonella risk.

However, in recent days, the Ministry of Health has announced the recall for allergen risk of some batches of Easter eggs of another brand, namely loving.

The eggs were produced from Gfm Oliviero brothers srl at the headquarters of Monteforte Irpino in Campania.

Why the Loving Easter Eggs have been withdrawn

As announced by the Ministry of Health, some batches of vegan lactose free easter eggs belonging to the Loving brand have been withdrawn for the possible presence of milk and derivatives of the latter in the product and not declared on the label.

In particular, theFood Friend Association Food Allergies and anaphylassesi, following the reports received from children allergic to milk and who had eaten this egg, requested the Accredia certified laboratory to carry out all the necessary analyzes.

Which lots are recalled

The results of these analyzes showed the presence of milk in the Lot L22035 of Loving's Vegan Lactose Free Easter Eggs. Subsequently, it was decided to carry out analyzes also on the following batches:

  • lots L22039;
  • L22075;
  • L22080.

and also in this case the analysis resulted positive for milk.

Precisely for this reason, the withdrawal of the product from all points of sale was requested. Therefore, if you are lactose intolerant and have purchased these eggs, we advise you not to eat them.
