Roccamonfina is a town located on the slopes of the volcano of the same name and anyone who decides to come and visit this place in October is entranced by the gigantic rows of chestnut trees that are found along the uphill road leading to the town. The event this year comes to fortieth edition and as in previous years he wants to reward the doc products of our land: chestnut and porcini mushrooms.
For the occasion, numerous stands will be open where you can taste different specialties including chestnut jam, chestnut liqueur and chestnuts in syrup, but above all you can not help but buy a bag of roast chestnuts whose smell inebriates the square.
There will also be porcini mushroom stands and the Roccamonfina Pro loco has also organized a rich program of events to entertain young and old, including: puppet shows, folk shows, taste workshops, musical shows and children's animations.
