The Caserta town of Marzano Appio will host the XXIII edition of the historic Chestnut Festival, with three days of pure taste.
Everything is ready for the Chestnut Festival 2018, event to be held from 21 23 to September in Piazza Mercato a Marzano Appio and which is now considered unmissable in the whole area of Casertano. Now in its twenty-third edition, the initiative will have the obvious protagonist castagna, defined as primitive thanks to a very early maturation of the various fruits. The latter are located near a volcanic territory and represent an authentic single of the locality that has a population of just over 2000 inhabitants.
Three days will be entirely dedicated to the typical dishes of a territory that is always active in the gastronomy sector. In addition to goodness, ample space will be reserved for theatrical and musical performances, under the banner of folk and the popular genre. Returning to the primitive chestnuts, the latter are very crunchy and fragrant and are perfect for making soups, desserts and roasted chestnuts. Their great value is also demonstrated through details of this kind.
