Chestnut Festival Arpaise (BN) on 12 and 13 October 2013. You can enjoy the dried fruit in any case!
Autumn has now arrived, the colors of summer leave room for the warm colors of this period and also the festivals they change flavor. The 12 October arrives the festival dedicated to the Chestnut, a dry fruit typical of this period that could even warm up when the cold begins to be felt.
The gastronomic event will be held ad Arpaise (province of Benevento), but as always it will not be just an appointment dedicated to satisfaction at palate of visitors, but will allow you to discover the traditions of the country. In fact, they will be organized walks between portals, arches, stairs and you can also look out on the beautiful landscape.
The chestnuts, of course, will not be lacking, but they will not taste only in the typical way (peel and eat), but you can taste the typical penne with chestnut sauce, meat, sausages and even the classic chestnuts prepared in the classic ways: "arrustute, varole, valleni, lesse and n'furnate".
During the event will also be services of sweets always based on chestnuts. Each dish will be accompanied by a good one wine so as to satisfy the lovers of the nectar of Bacchus.
