At the start the chestnut and hazelnut festival 2017 in Avella between food and wine excellences, guided tours of the historic town and music!
Will be held 13 from October to 15 2017 the sixth edition of the chestnut and hazelnut festival of Avella, in the province of Avellino. The organizer of the event will be the association "I rami del melo" which wants to promote local gastronomic specialties such as mushrooms, hazelnut, chestnuts, olive oil, sheep's cheese and wine.
The novelty of this edition concerns the increasing number of participating farms that will try their typical products. In addition to the handicraft and exhibition stands, there will be the food stands in front of the Palazzo Ducale where it will be possible to buy the festival menu for lunch and dinner, attending the free exhibition of folk music groups.
Do not miss Free guided tours to the most famous sites of Avella, already recognized city of art: the Roman Amphitheater, the Roman Tombs, the Norman Castle, the ducal Palace, the ancient Franciscan convent, the historic center and the churches.
Ample parking facilities will also be available.
