Exhibition of the Black Truffle Market of Bagnoli Irpino (AV) from 25 to 28 October, with preview dedicated to traditional flavors

Another unmissable event for lovers of festivals and typical Campania products: the Black Truffle Market Exhibition in Bagnoli Irpino , in the province of Avellino, which includes the black truffle and chestnut festival.

The famous food and wine event will be held in its 36th year from October 25th to 28th , 2013. For the fourth consecutive year, it will be preceded by a Preview of the Market Exhibition from October 19th to 20th . The event will take place in the historic center of Bagnoli Irpino , in Piazza Di Capua, where stands selling typical local products will be set up and where visitors will be offered delicious combinations of Bagnoli truffles and the great Irpinia wines , including Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino, and Greco di Tufo.

You will also be able to witness a curious local practice: the throwing or “ruzzola” of cheese , a game officially recognized by the Italian Federation of Historical Games and which dates back to Etruscan times, when a mature cheese, such as pecorino, was thrown along tractors.

From 25 to 28 October , the actual Bagnoli Irpino Black Truffle Market Exhibition will be held , where you can taste and purchase typical local products while wandering through the charming alleys of the historic centre, including cheeses, cured meats, grilled meats and, of course, roasted chestnuts and Bagnoli black truffle products.

The three evenings will be enlivened by traveling folk and popular music groups. Free roasted chestnuts will be distributed at various locations.
