Valentine's Day 2015 in Naples: night recited route to Castel dell'Ovo

The Castel dell'Ovo will enchant Neapolitan lovers, with a particular narrated visit dedicated to love and Virgil!

For Lovers' Night 2015 , Castel dell'Ovo , one of the most famous symbols of Naples, will also join the long program of events to celebrate Valentine's Day.

On the evening of February 14, 2015 , the majestic castle will be the stage for “Virgil’s Night ,” a splendid guided tour featuring narrated performances to discover the great Latin writer and his indissoluble bond with the city.

Participants will be transported on a romantic narrative journey, exploring the story of love: Virgil's love for Naples, and the passions and classic love stories , the most poignant and rich in allegorical meaning, featured in the poet's writings and set in Naples itself.

An interesting initiative to celebrate a figure particularly fond of the capital and its beauty. Not surprisingly, legend has it that it was Virgil himself who placed a magic egg in the cellars of Castel dell'Ovo, the breaking of which would have caused the collapse of the building and numerous misfortunes in the city.

To this day, the legendary egg has never been found, and the mystery surrounding it and the historic structure grows ever more dense and fascinating, piquing the curiosity of citizens and tourists.
