The Railway Museum of Pietrarsa will host a suggestive night visit in costume to celebrate Neapolitan Valentine's Day!
Even the railway stations have a romantic image. THE trainshave always been the scene of sadly separated or joyously found love.
To celebrate the party of Valentine's day, therefore, to long list of events around the city, the appointment with the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa the 14 February 2015, for the Night of Lovers 2015, will remain open until midnight.
The initiative, organized by the Municipality of Portici and the FS Italiane Foundation, will allow participants to take part in suggestive events nightly guided tours in costume, at an advantageous price for all interested couples.
Visitors will be accompanied to the discovery of exhibitions, furnishings, carriages and historic locomotives. Specifically, on the occasion of the party of lovers, particular attention will be devoted to the carriage number 10 del "Royal Train" that will be extraordinarily illuminated.
The wagon, built in 1929 on the occasion of the wedding of Umberto II of Savoia with Maria Josè of Belgium, is just one example of the enormous . historical and cultural to admire among the pavilions of the Railway Museum.
In fact, the famous will also be on show Bayard locomotive, the first carriages used for the Naples-Portici line and the extraordinary exhibition "Leonardo Da Vinci, the genius of good". A prestigious exhibition, the latter, dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci and that will allow to discover about 50 railway projects signed by the artist, perfectly worked both in miniature and in real size.
