The Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory in Naples celebrates 2018 Valentine's Day with guided tours, lessons and observations of the sky!

Another event is added to the program of the Valentine's Day 2018 in Naples: it's Contact allAstronomical Observatory of Capodimonte, on the calendar of the evening of 14 February. One night "In contact with the comet", as the title of the initiative indicates, to discover our origins together with the Rosetta spacecraft.

Alessandra Rotundi, of the Parthenope University of Naples, will be speaker in the scientific themed conversations. Participants can attend the lessons in the new digital planetarium Jurij Gagarin, inaugurated last November in a dome of 10 meters in diameter. Do not miss the guided tours to the Meridian Circle of Repsold, the German 1870 instrument used to determine the position of the stars.

Furthermore, if the weather permits it, it will be possible admire the stars with observations to the telescope. The event is in collaboration with the Neapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union. To participate you must book by purchasing the tickets online on the site provided below, choosing between four rounds available.
