Al Comicon of Naples comes a big news: you will see in absolute national preview of the documentary "Scottecs is Sio“, Dedicated to the famous Veronese cartoonist who will be the protagonist of this film.

The documentary was shot by Matteo Bruno aka Dry Dog with Slim Dogs and will enter not only in life, but also in the head of the much loved Sio, pseudonym of Simone Albrigi.

The meeting with Sio: canceled

The documentary will be screened in theAuditorium Saturday 23 April at 18.00 pm and will end at 19.00. For the occasion, there should also have been a meeting with Sio and the phimracopie in the following days, but unfortunately SIO WILL NOT BE PRESENT AT THE COMICON BECAUSE IT IS POSITIVE TO COVID.

Sio's life with many new curiosities

The documentary will be screened in national preview on April 23, 2022 at Comicon and protagonist will be Sio, just to answer the question we often ask ourselves when observing the success of someone on the web: "but why you?".

Here, with Matteo Bruno's documentary we can give us an answer regarding Sio, discover its history and know what is behind the great success of this talented Italian cartoonist.

Sio has been on the Italian comics scene for about 15 years and his comic strips, Scottecs, have immediately been very successful. Born in 1988 in Verona, Simone "Sio" attended the scientific high school and then graduated in Oriental languages, but his real passion was the comics since he was 8 years old.

It debuted in the early 2000s by creating a self-produced comic based on the man Scottecs, following the adventures of a roll of toilet paper and took the first steps to become the Italian cartoonist most followed on social networks. In 2006 he joined Shockdom (the company that also deals with comics and for which Sio works), where he manages the webcomic mixer called Scottecs Comics.

His channel YouTube is followed by over 2 million users, his Facebook page has more than 600000 followers and about 500000 people on Instagram follow him.

He is also the creator of the Power Pizza podcast made together with friends Nicola Bernardi and Lorro and each episode is followed by 20 million people.

He is a multifaceted artist, because in addition to drawing Scottecs comics:

he also collaborated with Mickey Mouse writing stories;
he made some graphic novels;
he is a musician;
make videogames;
makes animated series for Cartoon Network.

Not only that, because for some years he has also been writing and drawing the funny stories we find on the ice cream biscuit Puppy and his stories appear on the Scomix school diary.

In this documentary we will also be revealed some Curiosity about him and the little known facts of his history and his daily life. There will also be other characters to tell us about Sio, such as Lucio Staiano, founder of Shockdom, the cartoonist Tito Faraci with whom he collaborates, friends for Nic and Lorro, as well as Marta, his companion who will appear in an animated version.
