Crime / Punishment it is a real journey into the literary masterpiece of Dostoevsky that tells the dramatic story of Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, a poor and indebted young man who decides to put an end to his suffering by performing a murder and killing an old and meanly usurer.
Here begins his inner torment. The protagonist feels that he has made a correct and just gesture, as he helped to eliminate from the face of the earth an evil and cruel being that caused damage to society. For this reason, one feels devoid of repentance, a being belonging to a "superior" category, that of great men, authorized to live and act above the common law, because their actions, even those condemned by morality, have the collective good as their ultimate goal. But the awareness of the guilt and the fear of being discovered, and he will believe he deserves, as a consequence, a punishment.
The spectators will be emotionally involved in his obsessions and his discomfort, in his conflict that he gave birth a punishment from a crime. To drag us into the mood of Rodion Romanovich Raskol'nikov will be an unprecedented reading of the two-part novel (that of the protagonist and his "thought voice") masterfully interpreted by Sergio Rubini and Luigi Lo Cascio, on stage together with a noise and a singer.
