“Sicilia Viva in Festa” arrives in the Vomero district of Naples, a large village with typical products, folklore, crafts and games!

Sicily lands at Vomero with all its traditions, a real one village that will be opened from 2 to 5 in March 2017 in via Luca Giordano with well 30 stand.

“Sicilia Viva in Festa”, this is the name of the event, will bring all the gastronomic specialities, and not only, of the island and the exceptional testimonial will be Tony Sperandeo. The actor and singer from Palermo, in fact, will be with the many buskers that will animate the event with many folklore performances.

Sicilian specialties

In the many stalls you can taste many Sicilian specialties as naturally arancini and of cannoli in many variations (such as with chopped pistachios). There will also be various types of cheeses such as Majorcan, Ericino, Fiore Sicano or Caciocavallo, Favignana red tuna, citrus fruits, olives acciurate, fig jams, but also wines like the passito from Pantelleria and the Marsala. Among the desserts, in addition to the aforementioned cannoli and al cassata, there will be i cuddureddi stuffed with honey or ricotta or candied fruit, le reginelle sesame blankets and martorana fruit.

Craftmanship

There will also be many master craftsmen who will come with their works in ceramics of Caltagirone and many masterpieces in lava stone. There will be an exhibition of ancient Sicilian carts, all made and hand painted, inspired by the tradition of chivalry.

Folk show and animation

A show type that is inspired by the Sicilian folklore will take place on Sunday 5 March at 16.00, while for the whole time of the event there will also be aplay area for children.
