Spaccanapoli 2017 is the marathon that crosses and invades the streets of Naples. The departure is from Piazza Municipio up to the historic center and the Lungomare.
Sunday November 5 2017, come back Spaccanapoli the most anticipated foot race of all with a good news for all the participants. On the occasion of the 35esima edition, the Committee has decided to increase the distance and from 12 km we moved to 20 km.
A novelty that will attract many fans allowing them to live an experience with a compelling and unique path. The marathon will take place in two modes: one competitive on the 20 km and one non-competitive for 9,5 km. The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday 4 November 2017 with the ribbon cutting of the Village Marathon in Piazza Municipio.
Spaccanapoli marathon route
The departure is scheduled for Sunday 5 November at 8: 30 in Piazza Municipio and from there the athletes will reach the historical center and the Lungomare. The route is the same for both races, but only in the case of the amateur race will you reach the Lungomare, passing through the most beautiful streets of the city. Here are the steps:

- Corso Umberto
- via Duomo
- via San Biagio del Librai
- Nile square
- San Domenico Maggiore
- Jesus New
- via Monteoliveto and back on via Medina.
At this point the route foresees the arrival on the waterfront of Naples and Fuorigrotta, until the turning point in Viale Mediterraneo, arriving in Piazza Municipio. The non-competitive will stop instead on the seafront before returning to Palazzo San Giacomo.
The event is organized by Uisp Napoli with the patronage of City of Naples and the technical collaboration of Sport Events Run, in support of the NutriAfrica Funds Collection. The fundraising is promoted byNutriAfrica Volunteer Association to finance the construction of a special food plant against child malnutrition in Gulu, Uganda.
