Theatrical performances of San Carlo Di Napoli on Rai 5: the program

As part of the celebration of Rai Cultura dedicated to the great Italian stages, the San Carlo of Naples and the operas of maestro Verdi are the centerpieces of the television offer scheduled from Monday 29 May to Friday 2 June, at 10.00, on Rai 5.

Monday 29 May: the beginning with “Aida”

The review begins on May 29 with the staging of “Aida” by Verdi, in the version signed by Gianfranco DeBosio. With the musical direction of Daniel Oren and the choreography of Susanna Egri, the opera marks a highly cultural start to the week.

From 30 May to 2 June: from "Destino" to "Boccanegra"

The programming continues on May 30 with the memorable performance of “La force of fate“, staged in 1958 at the Teatro San Carlo with an internationally renowned cast composed by Renata Tebaldi, Boris Christoff, Franco Corelli, Ettore Bastianini e Renato Capecchi.

Wednesday 31, it's the turn of "Othello“, directed by maestro Nicola Luisotti and directed by Henning Brockhaus.

The following day, Thursday 1 June, the bill continues with "The robbers", directed by Gabriele Lavia. They go on stage Giacomo Prestia, Aquiles Machado, Artur Rucinski, Lucrecia Garcíaunder the direction of maestro Nicola Luisotti.

Finally, on 2 June, the homage to Verdi concludes with "Simon Boccanegra“, in the preparation of Sylvano Bussotti and directed by master Stefano Ranzani.
