The artist Adrian Tranquilli exhibits his superheroes in the classic setting of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples!

Inaugurated Saturday 2th April and visitable until the 6 June 2016, 'Days of a future past' is the exhibition of Adrian Tranquilli hosted in the spaces of National archeologic museum.

The Australian artist is known to the public for his works on superheroes, which for the occasion will be exhibited in Naples in an unsettling contrast with the classic pieces of the museum. In fact, Tranquilli's works will be combined with the statues of the Farnese Collection, within an exhibition itinerary that winds through the Farnesiane Galleries, the courtyards and the first floor.

Ancient and contemporary heroes compared, therefore, testifying to the dualism of salvation-sacrifice that these figures represent in Western culture. The exhibition is to date the largest dedicated to the multifaceted artist, who has always ranged between different forms of art, including sculpture and drawing, to represent contemporary superheroes like Joker, Batman and Yoda.
