Taxi bonus in Naples up to 120 euros: who can get it and how to apply

With resolution 88 of 18 March 2022, signed by the Councilor for Welfare, Luca Trapanese, the Municipality of Naples has established the extension of the expiry of the taxi travel bonus, designed to support those who have suffered the economic consequences of the pandemic from Covid-19 and never really fully exploited. For this reason, they were extended until December 15, 2022.

In total, the Municipality has 2 million euros available for this bonus which can be activated by citizens from May 2 2022.

This however is not the only good news, as it has been the bonus coverage has also been extended, from 50% to 100% of the cost of the taxi ride or rental car with driver (ncc). Each voucher can have a value not exceeding 20 euros for each trip, up to a maximum of 120 euros.

They are especially designed for those who have motor difficulties, For elderly and pregnant women, but also to give a breath of fresh air, economically speaking, to the taxi drivers, which have seen earnings decline in recent months.

In short, beneficiaries will be able to travel for free!

Who can take advantage of the taxi bonus

That's who I am the subjects who can apply natural persons residing in the territory of the Municipality of Naples, also holders of proximity residences, asylum seekers or foreign citizens with comparable status, and to take advantage of the voucher and therefore travel for free.

The categories are as follows:

People with 65 years of age;
Persons with disabilities in possession of a decree of disability or in possession of Law 104/92 with the connotation of gravity;
People with sensory impairments who are blind or visually impaired;
Persons temporarily impeded in walking, who are provided with the correct medical certification proving the pathology;
Pregnant women;
Parents with at least one dependent child born by January 1st 2018 (one voucher for each family unit);
People belonging to family units that own businesses or belong to economic categories subject to temporary closures due to government provisions, falling within the ATECO codes.

The value of the bonus

The taxi bonus, as mentioned, is a support for families who have suffered the economic consequences of Covid-19 and favors families that are not already assignees of other public support measures for this emergency.

Here's how the bonus is awarded:

those who do not receive other public support measures can have a bonus that goes up to € 120 per capita;
those who are already recipients of other public support can receive a contribution up to 80 euros per capita.

The bonus can also cover 100% of the value of the ride, but it must not exceed 20 euros per trip. If there is a remaining amount to be paid with the taxi driver, then it must be paid in cash.

How to claim the bonus

The request is simple to make and can be made from 2 May the form on the Sitaxi site accessing with Spid.

Furthermore, on the same portal you can:

check if the application was successful;
consult the bonus amount again.

If you are having trouble doing this, you can ask for help in two ways:

by calling the telephone number 08119754899 from 8.30 to 16.00, so a guide will help you fill in the form (until 10 June);
by contacting the affiliated CAFs who can fill in and send the form in place of the applicant. The participating CAFs will then be listed on the Municipality website.

How to use the bonus

The taxi bonus can only be used in the form of electronic purse with a value of up to 120 euros. It is attributed to the entitled person in more odds which can be used through PINs communicated by the Municipality via SMS.

Here's how to use the bonus:

it must be requested through the website set up by the Municipality;
only one PIN is associated with each race;
before the ride, the taxi driver or the authorized driver must be informed of his / her user code received from the Municipality;
at the end of the stroke the PIN must be communicated;
the taxi driver or driver enters the cost of the ride and the itinerary in the appropriate software;
the software will deduct the sum from the customer's electronic purse.

The characteristics of the bonus

The application can be submitted by only one member of the family unit cohabitant and the bonus is personal, so only the owner can use it. Furthermore:

it is not transferable;
it is not transferable to third parties;
it cannot be converted into cash.

Recall that it can be used by the 31 December 2022 for taxi rides and with NCCs, i.e. rental cars with driver. Both taxis and nccs must have agreements with the Municipality of Naples.
