"Passion" by John Turturro, "Wounds to death" by Serena Dandini, Erri De Luca, Emma Dante and many other shows for the new season of the Bellini Theater in Naples
Presented the new season of the Bellini Theater of Naples, which will begin in October 2015 and end in April 2016, inaugurating for the first time a long-term program, a three-year project through which the theater intends to strongly reaffirm its cultural identity.
Once again the Teatro Bellini confirms one of the most innovative Neapolitan theaters and characterized by quality shows, alternating contemporary languages with more classic but always current representations, inserting works and artists among the most famous of the national and international theater scene on the bill.
The programming will therefore be varied and suitable for every taste, ranging from "Classics" like Henry IV (directed by Franco Branciaroli), Eurydice and Orpheus , Carmen (directed by Enzo Moscato), revisited in a contemporary key, to one most current drama, as The Pride, directed by Luca Barbareschi ed Operetta Burlesca by Emma Dante, a texts with a social background, as Injuries to Death by Serena Dandini, a musical performances like Live Passion by John Turturro, The Word sings of Peppe and Toni Servillo e Proven Music by Erri De Luca. With the great return of Someone flew over the cuckoo's nest by Alessandro Gassmann, Autonomous Dignity of Prostitution e Clockwork Orange by Gabriele Russo.
In addition to the usual theatrical season, the appointments with art, culture and reading will continue for next year, through the initiative Sottopalco and the store of Marotta & Cafiero, which have made the Bellini Theater an interesting multi-purpose and aggregation place in the city. Making the "House of the Theater" increasingly open to innovation and to the European cultural and artistic spirit.
Rich and varied also the billboard of the Little Bellini, the experimental room dedicated to new dramaturgies, with performances taken by Eduardo De Filippo, Annibale Ruccello, George Orwell, William Shakespeare.
