The Giro d'Italia returns to Naples up to Bacoli and Monte di Procida: the route of the stage

Another wonderful appointment with the Tour of Italy, among the most famous and well-known sporting events, which for this new edition will also stop in Naples and in the municipalities of the Flegrean area after 9 years of absence.

The new edition of the Cycling race more awaited than ever will arrive in Naples, but will also cross Bagnoli, Pozzuoli, Bacoli and Monte di Procida. Monte di Procida will be in 2023 European municipality of sport. The various mayors of the various localities have undertaken to sign an agreement with which the best possible organization to host the event will be established.

The Giro d'Italia will start on May 6, 2022, from Budapest and will end on May 29th in Verona. The appointment a Napoli is scheduled for the day May 14, date that corresponds to the stage number 8 with a length of 153 kilometers.

The route between Naples, Bacoli and Procida

This is how the course will unfold in general

it will start from Napoli;
we will continue towards Bacoli where there will be a fairly demanding circuit of 19 kilometers;
it will then come to Monte di Procida, to be covered 5 times;
at the end of the last round, you will return to Napoli, where there will be the last stop, namely the Lungomare di Via Caracciolo;
the total path will be 153 km.
