In tribute to the renowned science popularizer Piero Angela, his son Alberto Angela he cured a special episode of "Ulysses" dedicated to him.
This straordinario episode will air in early evening su Rai 1, 25st May. Piero Angela, with a professional career of 70 years, spread knowledge through a language simple e understandable. His television career began in Paris, as he recalls Alberto in trailer of the program, showing the spectacular Eiffel Tower.

The memory of Piero Angela
The tribute comes just under a year after the death of Piero Angela, which took place on August 16th of the previous year. Following the disappearance of him at the age of 93 years, many people, of different generations, have shown their gratitude to the one who was considered a "family member". The special episode will include references to his hometown, Torino, and to its Piedmontese identity, visible in its rational, tolerant, reserved and measured character.
Piero Angela was a much appreciated figure, not only as a science communicator, but also as a jazz musician and pianist. His ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms, often with the addition of humor, has helped to spread interest in science. Recently, Alberto Angela, in the program "Che tempo che fa", announced that they will continue their father's work with a new program, "Ulysses Science“, preserving the legacy of SuperQuarks, Piero's project.
In a recent statement, the Mayor Russian expressed the desire, with the support of Rai, to dedicate the Rai production center to Torino to Peter Angela. This venue was the stage for many of his programs and the foundation for the first steps of his long and illustrious career.
When and Where to See the Special
The special episode of "Ulysses" dedicated to Piero Angela will be broadcast in prime time on Rai 1 il 25st May. Later it will be available on Ray Play.
