In June, pharmacies will also be able to administer anti-Covid vaccines19 and, therefore, memberships can start to book their vaccination in one of the participating pharmacies in Naples and in the rest of Campania.

In April an agreement was signed between the Campania Region and the trade associations to activate this procedure and the both public and private pharmacies.

The departure is on June 8th, but some pharmacies in Naples have begun even earlier to give the possibility to book at the end of May. In total, between our city and the whole region are over 500 pharmacies who have decided to participate.

How to book

To find out about the participating pharmacies in your area you can consult the Federfarma Napoli website and contact the pharmacy of your interest to find out how to book. The registration, subsequently, can also be done through the application Symphony of the Campania Region.

You can only book at pharmacies that belong to your own ASL of belonging. The pharmacist will provide the appointment based on availability on the calendar and it will be necessary to bring with you a health card and identity document.

Who can not book

Fragile individuals, those over 80 and those who have had allergic reactions will not be able to book in the last period after taking drugs or other substances. Healthy subjects between 18 and 59 years of age will be vaccinated, but the agreements will evolve based on the decisions of the EMA and AIFA since children between 12 and 15 years could also be included.

The training course for pharmacists

In order to be an active part of the vaccination plan and administer the doses, pharmacists must first participate in a compulsory training course organized by the National Institute of Health, which issues a certificate that certifies the suitability to be able to vaccinate.

In addition, each pharmacy will be able to ask for a tot of doses every week, as needed.

What vaccine is used in the pharmacy

The vaccine administered will be Johnons & Johnson which requires a single dose and is easier to store since it does not require very low temperatures in refrigerators, as is the case with the Pfizer vaccine.
