The Israeli contemporary dance company Vertigo Dance Company back to Naples Theater Festival with a new production to celebrate the 20 years of activity.
Last year she performed with two shows, zero e Birth of Phoenix, both housed in the splendid setting of the archaeological park of Pausilypon, in two performances site-specific, enchanting the spectators and "dialoguing" with them with only body language, made up of gestures, movements, physical sensations and rediscovering contact with nature.
After the success of the 2012 productions, the Campania Festival Foundation and the Napoli Teatro Festival this year commissioned the company, and their choreographer Noa Wertheim, the show Vertigo 20.
In this performance the dancers move in a surreal and abstract context between the public and private spheres, following a choreographic path that moves between tangible and intangible, metaphysical dimension and concrete reality.
As in all the shows of the Vertigo Dance Company, also Vertigo 20 will be held in a particular place, in this case the Pietrarsa Museum, to discover a different kind of interaction with the context and the spectators, almost as if to draw, from time to time, their own lifeblood from reality and from the surrounding nature.
The choreography by Noa Wertheim celebrates and evokes the link between man and the earth, man and nature, fully involve the spectators in all the sensory stimuli of the scene, from hearing, to touch, to smell, to sight, through the scenic representation of everyday life situations that transmit, alternatively, vivacity and meloncholy.
