Enzo Avitabile in the church of Donnaregina Nuova in Naples with Excepto

In the Church of Donnaregina Nuova in Naples, the show by Enzo Avitabile "Excepto", a hymn to the dispossessed of this world.
The cloister of the Church of Santa Maria di Donnaregina Nuova, in the heart of the historic center of Naples, will host the new show by Enzo Avitabile: "Excepto". As part of the X edition of Naples Theater Festival, Thursday July 6th, 2017, the Neapolitan singer accompanied by the guitar of Gianluigi Di Fenza, the cello of Marco Pescosolido and the Nova Amadeus Symphony Orchestra directed by maestro Gabriele Di Iorio, will bring his latest effort to the stage.
"Excepto" is one predisposition that expresses exclusion, a work that develops as a unique and particular symphony in its original form: the scenic cantata.
Which better scenography, therefore, of the wonderful 14th century cloister of Donnaregina Vecchia, for telling a world in the balance between good and evil and of the last ones who fall and rise up to the final Light, just like Christ.
'The music is all made by Enzo Avitabile and meticulously adapted to the work in every detail. As stated by the artist, the texts are taken from my other works, which for some time have been inspired by the themes of discomfort and suffering in the world".
The artist, after the success of the David di Donatello as Best Musician and Best Original Song, returns to his Naples with one intense and engaging show and, as usual, full of food for thought.
