Ravello celebrates Palm Sunday with the 2018 Way of the Cross in costume: over 300 figures and actors between sound and light effects.
Appointment the 25 March 2018 in Ravello with one of the most anticipated events of the year, unique of its kind: it is the Via Crucis in costume, this year with an even more spectacular set-up. The Municipality and various local associations contribute to the realization of the famous religious re-enactment, which will animate the streets and squares of the country.
La Palm Sunday, in the evocative evening atmosphere, the most famous corners of Ravello will welcome you 14 stations of the route. Between music, lights and sound effects, they will be involved over 300 figurants and 40 actors. Thanks to the work of blacksmiths, seamstresses and carpenters, who pass on their knowledge from generations, scenes and costumes will be treated in detail.
In a crescendo of emotions, the Way of the Cross of Christ will end with the crucifixion on the Monte Golgota, recreated in the churchyard of the Duomo. An engaging event that invites believers and does not and transmits mysticism and emotion.
