Sunday 6 March 2022 at 11:00 the Cultural Association NarteA, always committed to the enhancement of the city of Naples, organizes a special and interesting theatrical guided tour entitled Facimmoce 'a croce: Naples and its Altarini.

The tour route will wind through the alleys and streets of the historical center of Naples, during which guests can attend the theatrical piece which will tell the story and the evolution of votive shrines, or small architectural structures present in Naples since ancient times.

The actors who will perform will be Luigi Credendino and Valeria Frallicciardi, with the explanations of the guide Metteo Borriello.

The Altarins of Naples

Thanks to the theatrical guided tour you will have the opportunity to get to know the altars of Naples, or those small temples, which are nothing more than the expression of popular cult and citizens' gratitude towards saints and religious figures.

The figure most often represented in these altars in the various streets of Naples is precisely the Virgin Mary, and it is precisely from here that the expression derives A Maronna t'accumpagna.

But not only that, because in the altars there are also footballers and neighborhood singers. The route will start from Piazza Dante, from here you will continue towards Via Cisterna dell'Olio, here you can see an altar with an image of Sant'Anna, San Gioacchino and the Virgin Child made by Francesco Solimena.

The participation is necessary to participate booking to contacts indicated in the information mirror.
