A guided tour to discover the splendid Eremo dei Camaldoli, from which you can admire a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples

The cultural association Cuoriocity is proving very successful, thanks to its really original guided tours and unusual and alternative walking tours that allow citizens and tourists to explore new areas of the city of Naples, even in the company of good food of the Neapolitan tradition.

This Sunday, the 20 July 2014, there will be a tour not to be missed, which will lead the participants to discover theHermitage of the Camaldoli, one of the most enchanting viewpoints. The Camaldoli hill represents, in fact, the highest point of the large and natural mountainous amphitheater that surrounds the gulf, with a height of m. 458,8 above sea level.

From the Hermitage anyone can enjoy a unique and spectacular view over the entire Gulf of Naples, from the port to Posillipo, from Campi Flegrei to Capo Miseno, from the islands to Vesuvius.

But this place that lies pleasant and undisturbed by the city life also holds some precious testimonies of Baroque art, such as the Hermitage and its wonderful belvedere, the cultivated fields and the beautiful church, full of works by some of the major representatives of the last mannerism as well as later authors, such as Massimo Stanzione and Cesare Fracanzano.

It will therefore be possible to discover, accompanied by the experts of Curiocity, the Belvedere, the church and the extensive gardens, as well as knowing the long history of the Hermitage and the Camaldoli hill, so close but still so little known.
