Visit Piantedosi in Naples, roads closed on 12 January 2024

In view of the visit of Matteo Piantedosi, Minister of the Interior, the city of Napoli is preparing to face important changes in the management of traffic. These measures, in force on 12 January 2024, were adopted to ensure safety and public order during the event.

The traffic device for January 12, 2024

The Council announces the establishment of a temporary traffic device which involves significant restrictions. Starting from 00:01 on January 12th, and until the needs cease, the following will be applied:

  1. Prohibition of stopping and parking with forced removal:
    • Corso Meridionale, both sides, from the corner with Corso Novara up to the Polfer gate (civ. alt. n. 7).
    • Piazza Crocelle ai Mannesi.
    • Via Vicaria Vecchia, both sides.
    • Via De Rocci, both sides.
    • Via Giudecca Vecchia, both sides.
    • Vico delle Zite, from the intersection with Via Forcella to number 16, on both sides.
  2. Prohibition of vehicular transit:
    • Piazza Crocelle ai Mannesi.
    • Via Vicaria Vecchia.
    • Via Forcella.
    • Via Giudecca Vecchia.
  3. In Corso Meridionale, further temporary changes will occur, such as the parking suspension reserved for taxis and NCCs near the Polfer gate, and the public transport stop in the stretch between Corso Novara and the Polfer gate, on the central station side. These suspensions are necessary to ensure the proper conduct of the Minister's visit.

The measures adopted will require citizens to reorganize their mobility. It is recommended to take note of these variations and plan your travel in advance, in order to avoid inconveniences and delays.
