Discovering contemporary art with free guided tours of the MADRE Museum
Throughout the month of September the le free guided tours and educational activities at MADRE museum di Napoli, organized by the educational services of the museum itself.
The initiative will be valid on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will take place in a morning and an afternoon session, during which it will be possible to admire, on the first and second floor, the permanent collections and also the current exhibition on the third floor, "Sturtevant Sturtevant“, Dedicated to the artist Elaine Sturtevant, a pioneer in the artistic field of the fundamental concepts of originality and authorship.
The project Mother is to create a a museum that is a physical space where social relations are woven, through a historical and critical path that tells the avant-garde culture, with particular attention to the events of the last half century that took place in Naples and Campania.
You can choose between interesting and diversified proposals. Between them One Saturday at the museum, where the new languages and methods of contemporary communication will be explored, Museum in action, which offers performative activities, or FreeMadre, an engaging experience to experience an active participation of the public in museum life.

Together with an educational operator you can learn many aspects of contemporary life using alternative communication languages. Free participation, but entry to the museum for a fee.

To live a performative visit experience inspired by the works displayed in the museum. Subject to availability.

Where: Mother Museum, in vico Donnaregina (right side of the Diocesan Museum)
Ticket price: free (except Saturday entry).
Info: up to 9 October the entrance to the museum will be from Vico Donnaregina (right side of the Diocesan Museum) to allow the work of setting up the in situ work by Daniel Buren (Axer / Désaxer) on the ground floor. Special directional signs will be set up to guide visitors along the access route.
Also, from October 9 you can visit again As a child's play by Daniel Buren, exhibition extended until 29 February 2016.
