Guided evening tours with tastings at the Solfatara di Pozzuoli

In April we will be able to participate in a series of guided evening tours to the Solfatara of Pozzuoli

The evening lights manage to make an almost magical place. This is why we propose to participate, Saturday 18 and Saturday 25 April 2015, guided evening tours to the volcano Solfatara, located in the Campi Flegrei.
A guide will lead you through a journey through science and legends, to the discovery of the volcano in a state of quiescence, which however preserves an activity of emission of gas and mud.

The centuries-old history of Solfatara is linked to the importance of its own well of mineral water from the sour taste, able to cure gastrointestinal problems, of the mud pit used for the thermal treatments, of the quarries of trachyte stone, where the ancient mining activity took place, of the great fumarole with its characteristic smell of sulfur and of the suggestive antique stoves, whose vapors, present in the two natural caves, treated diseases of the respiratory tract and skin.

The suggestive visit will end with the geothermal cuisine of anchovies, caught in the nearby Gulf of Pozzuoli, which will be cooked in the steam of a volcano fumarole at 160 °. An experiment that will fascinate even the smallest visitors.

Are you ready for a magical evening?
