Events, tastings, meetings that will feature wine, to be tasted in more than 100 location of the city of Naples
Torna a Napoli Wine & Thecity, the seventh edition of the dedicated kermesse to wine and good Italian drink, including events, tastings, meetings, themed exhibitions, readings and concerts, parties and dj-sets that will come to life in many locations of the city, from 20 to 24 May 2014.
Wine bars, wine bars, restaurants, hotels, art galleries, but also boutiques and jewelers, beauty salons and gardens, will host many events, aperitifs and tastings, whose undisputed protagonist will be the wine. For the occasion, the city of Napoli it will be "mapped" into a series of addresses and "cellars" where events will be held, and in each cellar there will be a wine to discover, in a sort of "widespread" festival and in movement that will transform our city for five days in a circuit full of aromas and flavors to follow.
Wine & Thecity He was born in 2008 from an idea of Donatella Bernabo Silorata as Outside the Wine Fair of the event VitignoItalia, the national exhibition of wine and Italian wine-growing territories which takes place in Castel dell'Ovo on the Neapolitan seafront. The event will involve 100 locations among the most disparate and more than 70 companies vitivinicole that will animate above all the areas of Chiaia and the Centro Antico, in a busy calendar of events.
20 May from 18 to 21 | The APEritive Naples at the Pan Museum
It is the opening night of Wine & Thecity which will include a retro aperitif but in pure Neapolitan style based on red wine from Campania with the taralli of the Neapolitan tradition "nzogna e pepe" by Leopoldo Infante.
THEApe Classic Piaggio it will be, for the occasion, revisited and transformed into a delightful mobile bar with a retro flavor, and will be placed in the atrium of the Palazzo delle Arti in Naples for the inaugural event Pandivino. The evening, under the patronage of the Councilorship of Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples, consists of a crescendo of actions and performances of art and music with the participation of the Center of Ancient Music Pietà dei Turchini Foundation, of the Disseved Theater that will intervene on the museum facade, of the Campania Wine Tourism Movement and of the Italian Sommelier Association, delegation of Naples.

To consult all the appointments and tastings, it has been realized Mappi.na, a very original map of the city of Naples, also downloadable on smartphone, which will accompany visitors to discover the cellars and locations of the event. 14 and 16 May 2014 | The Nomad Tastings of Datè
Two exclusive evenings of wine tasting unconventional, in private designer homes and in unconventional locations, in a refined mix of culinary art, design, theater performance and architecture. The addresses of the apartments are revealed at the last moment to the diners who book via the web. The entire content of the evening is secret and is revealed little by little in a crescendo of emotions. Limited places, reservations required.

It's campaign cork stoppers collection spontaneously started by Wine & Thecity already in December 2012 to promote sustainable wine consumption. Gods were expected staple collection points for the entire duration of the event, because cork is a 100% natural material and is totally recyclable, easily reused in various sectors, from construction to the footwear sector.

17-18-24-25 maggio 2014 | Wine & The Vespa
It is the firstVespa tour to discover the metropolitan vines of Naples made in collaboration with NapolinVespa Tour exclusively for Wine & Thecity. On board of fascinating Vintage wasps you can explore the countryside of the hill of Posillipo, to enter the four hectares of vineyards of the Varriale farm to discover one of the oldest and most panoramic vineyards of the city and, accompanied by the Sommeliers of the Ais, Italian Sommelier Association delegation of Naples, the wines produced by the company will then be tasted. The tour is organized by NapolinVespa Tour and includes vintage vespa with driver, helmet, disposable balaclava, fuel, insurance, tour guide, AIS sommelier, entry into the vineyard, tasting.

MOB Champagne "On the Sea"
Champagne tasting in the dark of which place, day and hours do not know each other. They will be unveiled shortly before and only those who will be enrolled in the Champagne Mob. In kayak with the Naples Kayak Association or alternatively with a motor boat you will reach Antonio, the last fisherman of Marechiaro and his fishing boat. On board will take place the champagne tasting with the sommelier of the Ais of Naples in combination with a series of samples prepared by Antonio.

The Courtyard, a small space in the heart of Vomero, dedicated to gastronomic research, sharing and the expression of talent, is home to the project Raviolimediterranei, with a special tasting of ravioli accompanied by the delicacies of Campania Mia the pairing is with the wines of the Di Meo winery in Salza Irpina.

The final evening of Wine & Thecity with video installations, awarding of the finalists of the second edition of the Convivium Design Award for creativity under 40 and tastings of Leopoldo's taralli, buffalo mozzarella from Campania dop of the Consorzio di Tutela and many other delicacies.
