Tour of the Posillipo hill with a visit to the vineyards on board a vintage Vespa with the Wine & TheVespa initiative!
Arrives in Naples, on the occasion of the kermesse Wine & Thecity, the initiative Wine & TheVespa, first Vespa tour surrounded by hills and vineyards of the charming district of Posillipo to be held for the next two weekends, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May and Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May 2014.
Wine & TheVespa It is a special event organized by NapolinVespa, the initiative that allows you to discover Naples, but also the Campi Fegrei, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast, aboard a Vintage Vespa and in the company of an expert guide.
The thematic tour Wine & TheVespa will offer all the participants the chance to explore the metropolitan vineyards of the city of Naples, located above all in the pleasant Posillipo countryside.
The route will start from the Lungomare, from Piazza Trieste and Trento from where, after a welcome glass, we will leave aboard the vintage Vespas for the Posillipo hill. Here, right on top of the hill, in front of Capri, is the famous restaurant Rosiello from the 1933 managed with passion by the Varriale family.
Once you have parked the Vespas in the garden of the restaurant, you can stroll on foot in the four hectares of vineyards of theFarm Varriale, to discover one of the oldest and most scenic vineyards in the city. Salvatore Varriale, sommelier and winemaker, as well as landlord, will illustrate the different vines bred, telling their history and characteristics.
Accompanied by Sommelier of the Ais, The Italian Sommelier Association, of Naples, the wines produced by the company will then be tasted: the Piedirosso Doc in purity, the Falanghina and the Rosato obtained from a blend of native grapes. Along the way a tour guide will retrace the history of the ancient Casali di Posillipo.
The tour Wine & TheVespa it will last two and a half hours and will return to Piazza Trieste and Trento again after the visit to the vineyard.
