The first "night" Ztl of Naples arrives, active in the "baretti" area of the Chiaia district
New developments are coming to the "baretti" area of the Chiaia district , which will especially interest the young people of Neapolitan nightlife who regularly frequent, at night, some of the little streets full of clubs and bars.
This is the first “night” ZTL in Naples , which will involve Vico Belledonne , Piazza dei Martiri and Via Poerio , closed to traffic every day from 7pm to 19am.
The goal is to decongest the traffic that is created in the streets adjacent to Piazza San Pasquale and Piazza dei Martiri, especially on weekends, and to also accommodate the needs of residents who will have these areas open to traffic during the day.
The new traffic control system has actually been active since March 11, 2013, on a trial basis, but will officially go into effect next Thursday, August 1. All vehicles violating this rule will be fined using only the electronic eye.
The electronic gates are located in Vico Belledonne a Chiaia and in Via della Cavallerizza.
You can request a permit on the Naples City Council website or by going to the Permit Issuing Office at Municipality 1 in Piazza Santa Caterina 1.
The map of the new “Belledonne-Martiri-Poerio” limited traffic zone can be consulted on the Naples Municipality website.
