A new Frecciargento arrives that connects Calabria and Veneto and stops in Naples Afragola!
A has been officially announced new connection between Calabria and Veneto which also affects our region since the train also stops at Naples Afragola station (therefore not from Napoli Centrale).
We are talking about the new one Trenitalia's Frecciargento who will be in service from 14 June 2020.
It is actually a pair of Ferrovie dello Stato trains, called 8418 e 8419, which make the route between Reggio Calabria and Venice Santa Lucia with many intermediate stops, including the aforementioned Napoli Afragola. The journey time is 9 hours and 14 minutes from Reggio Calabria and 9 hours and 14 minutes from Venice.
The stops of the new Frecciargento
Specifically, all the stops that make the trains are as follows:
- For train 8418 that part from Reggio Calabria at 6.10: Villa San Giovanni, Rosarno, Lamezia Terme, Paola, Salerno, Naples Afragola, Rome Termini, Rome Tiburtina, Florence Santa Maria Novella, Bologna Centrale, Ferrara, Padua, Venice Mestre and stops Venice Saint Lucia to 15.34
- For train 8419 starting from Venice Saint Lucia at 12.26pm: make the same stops and arrive at Reggio Calabria to 21.40
- In this case the journey time is 9 hours and 14 minutes.
