Macerata Campania prepares to relive one of his most emblematic moments: 'At Festa 'E Sant'Antuono 2024. This event, rooted in seeds popular and religious of Campania, takes place 7 21 from January to, involving the entire community in an atmosphere of celebration and devotion.

The celebration is dedicated to S. Antonio Abate, patron saint of animals and protector of farmers, and stands out for his unique mix of faith and folklore.

The Carts of Sant'Antuono

They are a fundamental and spectacular element of this festival the Carts of Sant'Antuono. This year, well 20 wagons they will parade through the streets of Macerata Campania, bringing with them a piece of local history and culture.

Each wagon is a work of art, characterized by the presence of palm trees, barrels, vats, scythes, and other symbols of agricultural and rural life. The materials used are a tribute to peasant traditions and the importance of Sant'Antonio Abate in the protection of agricultural activities

The culminating moment will be parade on Sunday 14st January, an event that attracts visitors from all over the region to admire the creativity and ingenuity of the people of Macerata.

Festival program: music and floats

At the center of the party there is also a strong musical element: “A’ musica and Sant’Antuono”. The players, using instruments such as barrels, vats and scythes, create a unique sound that resonates in the streets of Macerata Campania.

The festival program is rich and varied. Among the most anticipated moments, the mass on January 16th at 18pm blessing of animals, a rite that reflects the link between Sant'Antonio Abate and the animal world.

Il 17st January, the day dedicated to the saint, will be a day full of events, culminating at 23pm with an impressive pyrotechnic display , grand final parade of 20 allegorical floats in Piazza Mercato.
