The exhibition began on November 26, 2021 and will be open to the public until 9 January 2022 in the pavilion of the former boilers.

The gigantic statues at the museum

The dimensions of the Nativity are really large as the statues of the Holy Family are much larger than the size of a human being. There statue of St. Joseph it is the highest of all and measure 4,20 meters high, While the Madonna 3,40 meters.

They were made by artisans from the Cantone & Costabile Presepiale art workshop in the historic center of Naples, near the famous San Gregorio Armeno, which we all know as the "via dei Presepi".

The exhibition of cribs

Also in the pavilion of the former boilers, one was inaugurated exhibition of nativity scenes made by the students of the Don Lorenzo Milani artistic high school of San Giovanni a Teduccio and the aim is to bring the young people of the neighborhood closer to this traditional form of art.

Always within the Museum of Pietrarsa there is also a beautiful one permanent exhibition of two valuable crib representations which are protected by a large window. The details of these creations are very precious and made with great attention and give an original beauty to the shepherds and settings.

  • Monday and Tuesday: by reservation only for large groups
  • Wednesday: by reservation only
  • Thursday: 14pm to 00pm
  • Friday: 09:00 to 16:30
  • Saturday, Sunday and holidays: from 9:30 to 19:30
  • 11 and 19 December: the Museum will be partially open to visitors


the exhibition can be visited freely once you enter the museum with a ticket.
